1. You need to get Stage 4 cooling with the 240 rads. If that is too expensive then go for the Vortex 240.

2. There is no advantage to the 2133 memory over the 1600 DS memory. Save a few bucks.

3. If you can squeeze it into your budget the 1050 Corsair PS is a much better power supply. Comes with 7 year manufacturer warranty. The 800 GS comes with a factory warranty of 3 years but DS warrants it for 5 years.

4. I am not sure why you picked the TJ09 but HAF-X will give you better performance for a cheaper price. The only thing I like about your case is the color. The HAF-X has much better air flow. The TJ09 120mm fans operate at 1200 RPM and that is not a lot of air flow. It keeps the noise down but limits the cooling.

Hi Frank... thanks for posting the config.      N6D4.,     in addition to the cooler fix., drop ram speed from 2133mhz to 1600mhz .      The higher ram speed you will not notice and can cause overclocking issues.   Also, drop cpu overclocking to stage 1. DS will not go higher than stage 1 with 3820 chip.    Good luck.     Ooops... Frank has this covered.   A little overlapping.

That is good bprat22. I forgot the 3820 OC limit.

I know some don't like others to help with a build but I welcome any input from anyone. As you know I don't hesitate to jump in with my thoughts.

Sli gtx 670 FTW with dual monitors will give you great gaming.   If you game on both and play some of the gpu hogs like Crysis andBF3 you could game on at least High settings.     I would rather play on single 23/24" monitor but that's me.    Just seems less of a hassle.       Nice rig with the changes and keep us updated.

That is a real nice config.

What was meant by going to the stage 4 cooling or the Vortex 240mm rad over the stage 3, is that the stage 3 has a smaller 120mm radiator and the stage 4 has a 240mm radiator and better parts.  The cheaper Vortex 240 also has a 240mm rad for less money and is a sealed unit..

But, if you're going for the UV tubing and don't want to add the extra cost of stage 4 cooling, then this will work.

You could go with the 1050HX psu for a few bucks more and get a better supply with better warranty.

You've put together a nice gaming rig.   Keep us updated.Big%20Smile

You are paying $110 more to get stage 3 cooling over the Vortex 240. So you are paying a premium for less cooling. Stage 3 uses a 120mm radiator and the Vortex 240mm uses a 240mm rad.

Take a look at the two photos below and compare the size of the rads.

Hi N6D4,

I assumed that you were going for looks and that is why I suggested Stage 4 cooling. It gives the advantage of the look and better cooling with better parts. But the choice is yours.
