Now what needs to happen is that the 580 gets a big price reduction and becomes the most viable card on the market Hahaha

The power consumption is even lower than the gtx 570! Makes for way easier upgrade options at a budget.

Yeah criTalon it is a really attractive card. However, I actually thought it would beat the 7970 by a bit more. It really didn't beat it by too much except for Battlefield 3. But it's a no brainer when you consider price and the GTX 680 is $50 cheaper.

So in time when the ODE-3 needs the 570s replaced...we could put in 680s w/o messing with the power supply?

I suspect the next ODE 3 cards will be the next to be released gtx 650/660 cards, comparable to gtx 570.   But, that's just speculation on my part.     .
