does anyone know if the nvidia driver stop error is happening on systems with an nvidia 9 series card (with or without vista SP1 if so?)

If i get a 9800GTX from Nvidia, will that allow me to step up to the 9900GTX?
Pentium 2
128MB of RAM
No GPU
and a 30GB HD

And you wondered why I registered lol (those specs are not a joke)

Interesting. I will be interested to see how many complaints of the dreaded NVidia driver errors show up with these new cards. I had wondered if this refresh had anything to do with an attempt to quietly get rid of the issues without officially acknowledging the changes. It certainly would explain the use of different drivers on the same G92 architecture.

could also expain them suddenly dropping the 9800 line so fast in favor of the 99 line.
