No more Krypton?

I've been looking at getting a Krypton for several months now, and have just been waiting to be able to afford it, but now I see the only 17.3" laptop available is the Behemoth?

Will the Krypton be coming back?  I don't want a 15" gaming laptop (especially as they apparently don't come with the 780m), but the Behemoth is way out of my price or need range.

Is there a refresh of the Krypton on the way?  *fingers crossed*

You'll probably have to call DS or email them and ask. Alex or Nav who frequents these forums will probably drop by in a bit and i'm sure one of them will be able to tell you.

Well, it's closing in on the end of March, and I haven't seen a change at all in the Gaming Laptops page.  Lance and Javelin are still out of stock and now showing "Early April" ETAs instead of mid-March.  Krypton is still missing.  I'm definitely ready to buy, so it would be good to know if I should remain patient or look elsewhere.

I am itching to replace my wife's old computer with a krypton or similar laptop. Been keeping an eye on the other gaming notebook sites and they all are doing the same thing and keep moving the availability back. After some more digging found Clevo (they make the cases) historically does this. Also noticed some sites that have totally discontinued that particular case altogether in favor of a new Clevo case, which are not available until April.

As a heads up there is also a delay on some video cards until the middle of April, so don't be surprised about that.

While there is a few grand ready and burning a hole in my pocket, I will wait on DS rather than take a chance elsewhere. Could get a behemoth but it is way beyond what my wife needs. If DS offered it with more downgrade options I would have bit on it, but then it would not deserve the name of behemoth.
It's all in a days work for Confuse-A-Cat.

I hear you.  I was looking at the Behemoth too, but with no ability to downgrade options, it's just too pricey for my budget.

I've been looking at DS for months now and even posted a possible configuration at one point, but I didn't have the wherewithal at the time to make the purchase.  It's agonizing that now when I do, I can't buy.  chuckles

And yes, I've seen some of the other sites push back till sometime in April, although I thought that was more due to the freshness and supply of the Nvidia 800M series cards and not the Clevo case.
