Topic: New System coming, 3D questions? Posted: 06 Aug 2013 at 10:20pm |
Hi all,
I have a new system coming soon, the specs are at the bottom of this post. I already have a Vizio 42 inch passive 3d ready HDTV I'm using as my monitor. (Link to the Monitor) Now, when the new system arrives, I want to do a few things with it. View 3d youtube Vids (I'm assuming with the Geforce GXT 780, it will do that out of the box) AND play 3d games. From what I've read to play 3d games (Like GTA 4, WoW, Far Cry 3, Metro Last Night, etc) on a passive tv with an Nvidia card, I need the 3DTV Play software from Nvidia or a 3rd party piece of software to do it. The other thing I want to be able to do is watch Blu Ray movies (3d included) on my PC. I have a blu ray drive. I've read that I need to buy a Blu Ray software player like PowerDVD or Totalmedia Theater. I'm wondering if the Nvidia 3DTV Play software will play blu rays also? the Nvidia web site has this description: "Watch Full HD Blu-ray 3D playback Create your own personal 3D theatre experience and surround yourself in the latest Blu-ray 3D movies. " Does that mean it has a player built into the 3DTV Play software? Does anyone have any more info for me? Thanks in advance. Hi Crodley..... If you drop down to the single asterisk at bottom of page it states a seperate Blue-ray playback software from Corel, Cyberlink, etc. is needed.
They like to minimze the fine details. Have fun. |
