After doing some research I've decided I'm heavily leaning towards a purchase from Digital Storm, based on reviews and the process they go through when making the machine. I don't want to be just a quick sale, but a customer for life.

My budget is around $3,000.

My expectations are to have a powerful, reliable rig to game on that isn't super loud. I'll be doing dual 24" monitors, using one for the game and the other for browsing/team speak/etc.

Another main goal is to have a rig that will be somewhat future proof that I don't have to worry about doing major upgrades for many years down the road.

Usage is mainly games (GW2, GTA V, Arma 3, Wildstar, etc) and web browsing.

Config I came up with:  1003292

Now some questions (sorry this might be a long post).

1) How does that build look? Am I missing anything, or is it overkill?

2) Will the current warranty deal offer +1year to whatever option you choose? (notice I went with one tier up)

3) Can you purchase another warranty after it expires and is it a reasonable price? I like the peace of mind knowing things are covered.

4) Should something go out and it needs to be sent back for repair, does DS pay for the shipping or is that out of pocket for me?

Thanks for the input and I look forward to the discussion!

Hello and welcome to DS Teege, to answer a couple of your questions for the first 30 days not sure if its longer now the shipping is free both ways, after that you have to pay for the shipping. I do not know if you can purchase another warranty after it expires i think Alex would have to confirm that.

I think the build looks pretty good in my opinion.

That looks like an excellent build to me.

The added year of promo warranty is added to whatever you choose in your build.   If you pay for 4 years, DS ups it to 5 years for example.

Good luck.

@Teege,

Thank you for choosing Digital Storm, we're honored to have you as a customer. I'll respond to the questions that others have not yet:

3. We normally do not offer warranty upgrades later on, if we would, it would be on a special case situation and the cost of the warranty would be at least $250+/year and can be as high as $500/year.

4. We cover shipping both ways within the first 30 days, but we tend to extend it to 45 days as well depending on the situation. Afterwards, the customer is responsible for shipping costs, we take care of the rest. We do offer discounted shipping rates.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies I appreciate it :)

Do I need that control board software if I choose the lighting system though?

Nope, not for just the lighting.    The  control board is if you want the HydroLux lighting that varies with temp and a desktop control panel to monitor and adjust internal temps.

I are asking about the HydroLux board? It doesn't list that as a requirement in the builder. Best to talk to DS about this though.
