Budget:
$2000 - $2800

I'm in the market for a new gaming PC after years of playing on just consoles. I'm not exactly computer savvy having only used a laptop for net browsing at home and MS Office on a desktop at work. I think I have learned quite a bit by reading through the forums here, on Linus's and the Tek's but I'm still a bit of a moron when it comes to pc components and configurations so I am looking for some assistance.

I'd like to be able to run AAA games (Witcher 3, Star Citizen, etc) for the next few years in 1080 at highest setting. Running dual monitors but only gaming on one 27" or 24". Possibly do some light video editing, multitasking and general usage.

I've went back and forth between the Slade level 3 or the Velox Level 2. I want to be able to upgrade the system myself in the coming years so room and accessibility in the case are important. I have been leaning towards the Slade because we have pets and with the Slade having the reusable filters I figured that would be the way to go?

With the level 3 Slade is there anything that would make sense to upgrade or change?

Looks good. The only thing I would change is the hard drive to a WD Black.

Thanks for the input!

Looking at the graphics card would it be worth it to upgrade to the GTX 980 4GB (ASUS Strix Edition)? Or going for the SLI Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970?

Depends on your needs/desires. If you are aiming for a very quiet build, then the Strix will help there. If you want the best performance/dollar, SLI 970's would be the best. You'd want the standard blowers on the SLI 970's to keep case temperature down.
