For those of you who have been wanting a big, high-res monitor, it looks like Massdrop has put some LG 34UM94 Ultrawide Monitors (34" diag., 3440 x 1440 pixels, 21:9 aspect ratio, 110 PPI) on sale at a decent price ($749). The drop that happened a while back was a bit higher and right around the same price as e-tailers...this looks a bit better.

To view the offer, go to the Massdrop site and register if you aren't already registered (it's free; they'll e-mail you stuff, but you can unsubscribe). From there, go to the March Bazaar (through the banner at the top or in the Nav menu on the side) and you'll find it under the "Tech" category.

Samsung 34-Inch Curved Screen LED-Lit Monitor S34E790C It does cost a little bit. $1,223.51 Yikes.

If I wasn't going to Qatar that was the monitor I was going to buy.

Curved monitors really only make sense for usage like computers...for TV's, they don't really make sense as you are distorting the picture, especially when viewed from an angle other than head-on.

Have fun with your Behemoth!

 you know you're right. Never thought of that but then I only use one monitor and look at it straight on. It would be better to just buy the one you posted and it has good reviews.

Thanks.

I have and love that monitor - $749 is a great deal. I highly recommend a monitor stand for that monitor also (which I heard cannot be used on the curved model). I have the Silverstone stand and it works perfectly. I'll have pics posted as soon as my new machine arrives...
