On the page for the Krypton laptop, it says that it has "fully upgradable components". What does this mean? Does that mean that I can replace components with other components that are currently available to include in the laptop, or does it mean that in a few years, I can buy a part not currently offered and put it in?

Hi Prime624.. Fully upgradable with the Krypton means you can update, swap out, the gpu and cpu to newer, more powerful versions as time goes on. You can also add or upgrade memory sticks and storage drives if needed. Its a Yes answer to both your questions. The configurator gives you options.
Hope this helps. |

I also read somewhere that DS will install the parts for me if I buy them from DS. Is this true? Would I have to pay for shipping to ship the PC to/from DS?

DS will install parts for you for a fee, cost of the parts, etc.
Here's a copy/paste of their policy under the Warranty section.... C. UpgradesDigital Storm gives the customer the freedom to upgrade his or her computer system. If you would like Digital Storm to upgrade your system for you, you will be responsible for shipping costs back and forth and a small labor fee. However, if the customer begins to experience issues after the upgrade the customer must remove the suspected hardware in order to obtain warranty service and support. You'd have to coordinate with them for the details. Hope this helps out. Edited by bprat22 - 13 Aug 2014 at 11:35am |
