I have a digital storm laptop.. CPU: i7 Intel 3920xm quad-core. GPU: Nvidia 675m 2gbs.   Can I take advantage of a 144 Hz refresh rate with 1 ms G to G response rate monitor ??

Unless limited by V-sync or some other limiter, your GPU will push out frames as fast as it can. If you GPU has the muscle, then it can drive faster frame rates. As for whether your laptop can do that, it'll be dependent on what you're trying to play/use and how graphics intensive it is. You may want to check out benchmarks for the GTXC 675M, as well as 580M and 485M as they will be similarly performing.
