Laptop graphics cards question and configs

I am more inclined to purchase a laptop as it would give me the mobility i will from time to time need as a college student. So my main question is what would be better: dual ATI Mobility Radeon 3870 in crossfire, dual Nvidia 9800m GT cards in SLI, or one Nvidia 9800m GTX as a dual is not offered lol >.>              
          But here are some configurations two for laptop and one for desktop. Please let me know of any suggestions as what would be a nice change without increasing the price very much... Though I wouldn't mind having the main question answered too
