Topic: Laptop GPUs Posted: 09 Aug 2014 at 7:45pm |
I'm doing a laptop build, and I wanted to know if I can run some modern games like Watch Dogs, upcoming GTA V, Batman Arkham Knight and other games.
Which GPU would run, i.e., Watch Dogs on High/Ultra on a 1920x1080 screen with average 30 or more FPS? GTX 860M, 870M and 880M would run this game on which quality and how much FPS? Sorry for any mistakes I've made, I'm new to the forum. |

I just posted a reply in your other posting, with this link to compare the cards.

Found this Watchdogs bench test.

If you want to play those new games, I'm not even going to look at benchmarks. It's easily the GTX880m, especially if you want to be able to break the 30fps @ 1080p constantly.
The GTX 880m is basically a mobile version of the GTX 680 video card. If you're buying a gaming laptop, save up for however much longer you have to save and get one (two would be amazing) gtx 880m. |

Amen. I learned this after a few laptops. Always buy for 3 years ahead, not for now. |
