I bought this DS about a year and a half ago, almost 2 years. I haven't done any diver updates or anything along those lines. I don't use my computer for much because of the fact the one game I tried to play (mine craft) would lock up due to no memory.
System is as follows

Intel i7 3610QM 2.3GHz
8GB Ram
windows 7 64bit

I can't play DVDs or CDs on my computer

I've gotten into the Device Manager, and everything in there says everything is up to date... but I still can't do some simple tasks. What am I missing?

You can start by downloading the latest graphics drivers, should see a vast improvement in modern games!
