Semi hot room
Need to play Diablo 3, starcraft 2, dota 2, surfing, hulu on high settings (if not ultra)
Need to load stuff blazing fast
Resolution of monitor:  1680x1050 currently (if it dies i may upgrade to a 1900x1080 one)

config:
http://www.digitalstormonline.com/compload300R.asp?id=686741

Questions:

I can't get the ODE because it does not have GTX 670 in it and last i heard its difficult to add parts after the v2.

So with that said:

1. I saved money by going with the Corsair Carbide 300R case instead of the HAF-X, is it a really bad choice or can i roll with it without stuff over heating? Any alternative choice since the HAFX is really expensive. But the 300R DOES seem cramped/narrow???

2. I saved money by going with 2600k, should i get the ivy bridge instead? i mean i WAS going to buy a computer from DS a couple months ago with the 2600k, so it shouldn't make a diff 3 months later....

3. I saved money by getting the 800w instead of the 750HX, that ok? i know about the warranty, but the cost Cry

4. I need the blazing speed so I got the 520 series 120 gb BUT i did not get any HDD, is it easy to install an HDD on my own since I do not need to install an OS? is there still some "programming" i gotta go or is it plug and play and NO "partition or other bs"? Or should i just add the HDD 500 gb..?

5. I saved money by going the A70 instead of the D14. Question is, i thought they discontinued the A70???  As for the A50, is it even enough cooling for an overclock level 2? Because if A50 suffice I could save a bit more too!

6. I also saved money by going the NON SLI mobo, any objections? or should i get
P8Z68-V LE (Intel Z68 Chipset) to save money money?

7. Should i get OC level 2 with my current cooling? or stick with level 1 ?

THANK YOU!

Hey darbedo.     Your build looks good.   For your budget you do have the gtx670.   A big plus. If you don' t want sli then the mobo is fine. The case will work fine with the low thermals of the 670.     If, when DS stress tests, they see a problem they will suggest a top fan.      The A70 we were told months ago was gone.   If not then you are good.   If it is gone then use the A50 with stage 1 oc.     You' ll have very good gaming.    Good luck and keep us updated.

Another question, in my quest to save more money, how big of a diff is it if  i were to downgrade the i2600k to i5 3570K?

It saves me $95 , is it really noticible?

I read online somewhere that "Get the i5.
The only thing you will ever notice the i7 ever being better is when your doing extensive video editing."

if thats the case and the computer is for my wife, would the i5 suffice WITHOUT giving up the "blazing fast" load speed assuming i keep the ssd?

Also, if i go with the i5, can  the OC level 1 be done or is it too dangerous?

For gaming you'll never see the difference. Go with the i5. Oc level 1 is no problem.

OC lv 1 on i5 is safe. And you have DS to back you up with their stress test.

Edit* Bprat got to it.

As for SSD, DST used to call it a balancing act between all the components. You don't need it, but you will notice a difference after "backing OUT" of using an SSD.
Once you use it, you'll get hooked

Thank you guys, more questions:

This is the new rig i came up with to further save cost after your input

http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadsaved.asp?id=687153%20

SO i lowered to the i5.

The only "big" cost cutting i can do is the lowering from gtx 670 to the 570.

My question is, is this a really bad choice to lower it to save $100?

I mean, i was going to get the rig w/the 570 1.5 months ago, so....had i not waited, i woulda ended up with the 570's anyway....

also, gtx 570 > diablo 3 in high setting in a 1680x1020 resolution correct?

But....should i pay an additional $40 for the $7870 since the 570 IS INDEED a late 2010 product?

I read:
"The 7870 loses to the 570 in BF3. 15% more in price for 9% more performance before overclocking...Nope."

"HD 7870 is faster. For $50 i would get it since it has more vRAM and more room for improvement."

I need this rig to last at least 3.5 to 4 years without slowing and dying.

Thank you!!
