Now we know why your sli bridge popped off and was laying on the bottom. A little sag is normal but this seems excessive, at least from the pic. I would unplug it, loosen the screw on inside back bracket, release the catch on the front of the pcie slot and remove and reseat the card. Inspect it for damage. PC unplugged.

Dang, that does look like a fairly extreme droop to the card.

so i removed it and didnt see anything physically wrong with the card or the slot on the motherboard. Also the bottom card has a cable under it that seems to be supporting the cards end so Im wondering if thats the reason that card too is not slant like the top one.

Tough to say. If the cards and the motherboard slot seem ok, then I'd put it all back together and fire it up. Looks like the Apollo took a sharp jolt in shipping.
Let us know how it goes and fingers crossed. |

Hi Saajuk,
That is definitely not right. It looks like the rear of the card is not lined up with the proper back plate slot. There is a opening in the rear of the GPU. Is it lined up with the opening in the back plate? I think if you dropped the back down to the next slot in the back plate the GPU will be level. Frank Edited by FrankW - 31 Dec 2014 at 3:39pm |

I have to agree with Frank.... looks like a problem there somewhere. But, if it's working then that's great.
If possible, after you play some games, a picture with more lighting, side panel open, that shows the card, mobo, etc would be great. We get real curious around here. Enjoy your DS rig and Congrats. Edited by bprat22 - 31 Dec 2014 at 4:35pm |

So i looked at the back plate and tried to move it down one but then I would not be able to plug into the port and the sli bridge would be to long to connect the 2 cards. Here more pics

called a DS tech. Told me to try out some games and see if my cards are fine. If they worked he told me there was nothing to worry about but also said they should both look the same ( clearly they arent) Supposedly they have pictures they take before ship of the system for this situation but he said the images were to blurry to really tell if the cards were straight or not.

While it probably would never be an issue you could do a couple of things.
It looks like the weight of the Power cables is causing the card to sag. You could try to zip tie the cables if there is some slack to them to the Hard drive cages so that the cable is not pulling the card down. You could also reroute the cables so that they are not coming from the bottom but instead from above the card. So it would feed thru the back and then come thru just above the card then attach to the card. This way it would also not be pulling down on the card. My gut feeling is you could reseat the card and then tighten the screws then make sure the power cable has some slack if possible then attach the cords and it should be fine. Good Luck! |

This would drive me nuts as well, so I feel your pain. If you remove the cards from the case entirely and sit them side by side, do you notice any oddities? Hard to tell what could be causing this so once you verify the cards are physically OK that would be a good first step.

I wonder if that is the wrong SLI Bridge for that mother board? I guess they come in different lengths for different MB layouts??
What ever the problem is this is not right and DS will take care of it when they get back from the Holidays. I would send Alex an Email at [email protected] with a link to this thread. Ask him to take a look at your photos. That would be your quickest path to a solution. Include you order number. Frank |

So I rerouted the cables up one so to reduce their weight on the card he is the after:
looks like it helped a little. I tried chaining zip ties up to the top of the case and forcfully raising up the cable along with the card but then decided it wasnt worth it because it would be a pain in the ass to unplug and re plug in the power cables if i ever decided to take out the card again plus it doesnt seem good to strain the cord plug so much. When the card is in the slot I have to actually apply some force to raise up the droopy card. Its not like its just loose or hanging there if that is of any concern. I also took both cards out and looked at there back plates and noticed the one that drooped had a back plate that was a little bent compared to the other one. top card bottom card so I decided to switch the around since the bottom card had a power cord supporting its weight and thought it would help. Did not do much. end result is first pic of this post. It kinda looks like the cord under the bottom card is raising it up more making the top car look slant. idk Edited by Saajuk - 01 Jan 2015 at 9:32am |

So there's a cord pressing against the card in the bottom slot? Is there any reason why that cabling can't be moved so it's not pushing against the card in the bottom slot?

It looks much better with the rerouted cables. I would say if it works do not worry at all any more.
Play some games and have some fun! |

It definitely looks better after you re-arranged things. The bottom USB cable is probably from one of your drives and I wouldn't think it applies much pressure.
Looks like the box was dropped and the top card flexed with the sudden jolt, popping off your sli bridge and bending the card just a little. If its working I would just leave it at this point. It looks better. Nice job. What Ariktu said. The more you mess with it the more room for issues. Edited by bprat22 - 01 Jan 2015 at 9:56am |

It looks good with the adjustments. If you really want to fix things up, there is this low profile USB 3.0 20-pin extender: http://www.moddiy.com/products/USB-3.0-20%252dPin-Internal-Header-FF-Adapter-Cable-%28Low-Profile-Connector%29.html

@Saajuk,
The way your original picture looked, I would have to say that it did not look normal. When I looked at the photo our QA team took, I do see that it was normal at that time. It appears that the tension from the power cables to the card must have gotten tight or pulled during shipping (the video cards must have moved around a bit). This must have caused the cables to get caught and pull on your card. Your latest picture looks much better. Video cards usually always have a slight drag on the end, that's because they are quite heavy (especially the type that you have. man, that first pick had me worried about your mobo's pcie slot being damaged. are you sure there's no damage to it? is the slot angled at all or loose? i'd be wary of that, because if the board starts acting funny or you have issues with the pcie slot later, i know through personal experience that the board manufacturer will not rma it due to physical damage. now DS might well honor a new board because it was damaged in shipping (if there's damage), but i'd get that documented via rma with them now rather than later. also, look for cracks in the board around the pcie slot and behind the board as well.
