You have the i7-3930k? Usually, in general, a temp below 85 is safe but the 70's is better. Both rad fans are spinning? What's the room temp? TJMax on that chip I think is 91c. Low 80's seems close, but is safe. Check temps and fan speed with HWMonitor and temps and distance to tjmax with RealTemp. What speed do you have the H100 set to?

Room temp is about 70. How do I set the H100 speed?

Ok so opened the case and found the push button on the H100, set it to max, which I might add is REALLY LOUD! lol.
Anywho, max temps on BF3 in 3D, super ultra everything on was 79c on one of the cores. This is safe your saying Bpratt22?

That's a safe temp...We like to see a few degrees better but every chip is different. I would think the H100 on medium, to stay quiet, would do it, but, again, some chips just run differently. You could call DS and run this by them. They'll tell you how it setup during testing and give you a better comparison history of what they encounter than we can.

Thanks for all your help man! Its been very nice :D
I havent called DS yet, going to probably get some pic's together and post a review in there reviews section.
Right now if I put it on high, the H100 (why the heck is there no external control for it Ill not ever know), I can stay under 70c in intense long term gaming sessions. So Im good with that for sure.

Hi Ironwolf1974,
If you are getting below 70c then you are rocking. Glad your system is up and running.

Not impressed with the H100 so far.
At 100% it peaked at 85c while doing some BF3.
Maybe I just got the wrong cooler, but so far just not impressed.

Sorry to hear. I thought it was under control. Next week, I would call DS and see if tweeking the overclocking will drive the temps down. I wouldn't think any thing over medium setting on the H100 would be need, both for noise and cooling. They might say that 6 core chip runs like that with most builds, but I'm not sure. Let us know and good luck.
