Okay, so you guys made a mistake.

Configurator Level 4 has a 400w psu. I researched on the Nvidia site and it needs a 500w psu at the minimum. You must at least give us an option to change it.

NVIDIA has extremely conservative numbers posted.  A 400W PSU should be fine...DS will let you know if you need something else.  If you want a more realistic number go to the PSU calculator linked in my "Configuring a Computer" thread (linked in my signature block).

Hi HaroldGunter,

If you are not satisfied with the Power Supply in the Eclipse level 4 then look at the Vanquish II level 4. It comes with a 600W PS and only cost $100 more. To me the Vanquish is a better case for a gaming computer.

The Eclipse and Vanquish are pre-built systems and there are no options to change any components. This allows DS to keep the prices as low as possible and still provide a high level of performance.

In all honesty if DS felt that the psu wasn't enough they would have changed it to something else.

The gtx 970 draws about 150 watts under load and the rest of the system maybe another 100-150 watts. The 300watts or so is well within the comfort zone for a 400watt psu.   Plus, that psu has 32 amps on the 12 volt rails and the gtx 970 likes 28amps.

Looks like everyone above has hit the nail on the head. The 400W is more than plenty to power the system. The new Maxwell graphics cards from NVIDIA are very efficient.
