umm what? lol
there are many people here that use firefox and chrome and it works fine. that seems very odd. no one should ever be forced to use that crappy browser lol. Edited by maxyme - 28 Oct 2011 at 11:35pm |

Well whoever is using chrome should stop right away, but ff users and opera users are having a great time here without letting google steal their resources or deal with ms's crap.

LOL chrome is like this:
if a opera for example is a car that gets you from point A to point B with 2 gallons of gas, chrome is the car that takes you the same distance with the same speed but uses 10 gallons of gas. thats as far as using resources go. as far use and customization goes, tell me can chrome have this feature to load DS tickets right form right click contex menu: Let me save you the time, NO it can't, it can't do a lot of things firefox and opera can do. google makes a crappy browsers that is not stable and crashes, instead of fixing it and making it more stable, they decided to use your memory to keep each tab open like a an app, so when their unstable browser crashes your other tabs don't crash. Now I have always over 50 tabs open here are just some: right click image and chose "open image" to see all tabs Now ask me how manytimes opera has crashed in the past year. the answer is zero, thats right, the browser is properly built so that it does not crah like inferior browsers such as chrome. To open those many tabs with chrome I would need at least 4 times the amount of resources opera uses to do the same thing, for no good reason. the only thing chrome is a beast in is using your resources, here is an example of opera opened with 40 tabs and chrome opened with 10 tabs: opera with 40 tabs open using 444,000k memory: Click above image to enlarge chrome with 10 tabs open = 210,000K memory use: Click above image to enlarge its easy to do the math and see that with 10 tab chrome is using half of what opera is using with 40 tabs open, now imagine what would happen if I open 40 tabs in chrome. so like I said if opera/ff take 2 gallons to get you there, chrome will do it with 10 gallons and less features and customization. @ashkir,
You probably ran into that once, it looks like a glitch. Were you able to customize a system afterwords?

Hi RiceEatin2000GT,
How many using any computer product is not necessarily a good measurement. Look at how many Dell and HP computers are out there but that doesn't make them the best. I use IE-8, FireFox and Opera. Opera is the best for my use by a long shot. I have loaded and deleted Chrome three times thinking it was going to be better. To me it is the worse browser out there. Frank |

I'm beginning to like the new Opera. I have it between my Firefox and Chrome icons. Although I use Firefox and Opera the most. Chrome and IE are for occasional usage.

You can customize opera to accommodate you anyway you like, as I showed in my first pic, I have add an option to my rigth click context menu so that when I double click the text of ticket number it automatically gets highlighted and the context menu also pops up where one of my choices are to "load DS ticket" which if you choose automatically load that ticket number for you, in other words for me to load a DS ticket like this one 610837 takes 3 left clicks on my mouse, so if you guys have a browser that can be customized to suit your everyday needs like that let me know, plus all the options that comes wit opera.
I have all those browsers, between opera and firefox I have no reason to use anything else, to each his own. only thing I don't like about opera is the tab stacking. Edited by DST4ME - 30 Oct 2011 at 5:06am |
