I don't see why not; they've shipped across the ocean a few times from what I've read. You would need to contact somebody from sales, or Alex himself however, as the shipping costs would probably be much higher.

If I remember correctly they do but as Muddy said, Alex can tell you for sure.'
but the cost of shipping is gonna be higher I think and you got customs duties to pay also. |

Awesome!
finally a decent American company who actually cares for everyone who wants their gear... do you have any idea how rare that is? (i do, i've been searching for such a company for years now) and yes, i am from Oz as well. i have a few more questions, if you don't mind me hijacking your topic here PiiZZaBoY... and if it can be answered on the forums for all to see anyway. Warranty and support, Phone support is offered in the US, that means i have to phone a US number for tech support yes? now i know how hard it is to understand most "overseas" tech help centres, and i can assure you, i'm probably about as hard to understand as them to an American (trust me, i work with a few) thanks to my accent, is there an option to provide tech support via e-mail only? (i see on your support page that e-mail is optional) also, shipping costs, if there is a problem that can't be fixed over the phone, will it cost the same (shipping wise) to ship it back to DS and back again to OZ? i can only imagine how much that'd cost, since shipping systems interstate in Oz is $50-$100 for postage (20-50KG), let alone outside of Oz. finally, Taxes. i understand if you can't answer this, but i have to ask anyways. when we import things into Oz we have to pay GST (Goods and Services Tax) of 10% if we send the PC back under warranty, will i need to pay some sort of tax to get it back in America? and on top of that, pay the 10% GST (or other forms of import tax) yet again to get it back to Oz? from my last few days lurking these forums, i haven't seen actual involvement from the parent company with their customers to this extent outside of Madman (and thats saying a LOT) Thanks - Uni |

You can get support via email I believe.
after the first 30 days you are responsible for shipping costs, I think it would be cheaper to take it to a local shop, but most of the time its little things like ram/gpu/hdd, which can all be easily done by you and we can help you here on the forum. other then that you are responsible for the gst and etc if there is any. Yes DS is a great company, which is why I trusted them with my money to build my terminator and why many of us donate our time on the forum to help others. I'm sure Alex will correct me if I said anything wrong. Edited by DST4ME - 11 Jul 2011 at 1:46am |

Thank you everyone for the kind words. My passion for Digital Storm is just as much as the rest of our team members, we simply want our customers to be happy with their purchase.
@Uniforce, those are some great questions, I'll do my best to respond: 1. You may call our 510-656-1122 number for international calls in order to get in touch with support. We also offer email help as well, which may be easier for you based on your time schedule. 2. Shipping costs for international packages will be costly compared to normal purchases that are in the United States. Our team will do their best to ensure having a system come back for service is the very last thing on their list to try. 3. The original shipment will be marked as a new sale, which will have taxes/duties/custom fees. However, from my experience, all warranty items are sent as a "warranty/service" item which means they should not tax the package. Thank you everyone for your interest in Digital Storm, we would love to earn your business. |

Does this means that if you ship it to Australia, we will only need to pay the price of the rig and the GST of 10%?

I can't speak for the DS, but my guess is that you would need an outlet adapter. The PSU will adjust itself automatically, so no worries there. Also, you should be able to find a cord such as this one, fairly cheaply if DS doesn't ship it with one and you don't want to mess with an adapter.

They do not, you'll need to use your own. However, it's standardized, so any regular computer power plug should work with ours.

You'd need to call or email DS with your config# of the system you want and your full International address. Then they'll get back to you. The power supply adjusts to the voltage.
Good luck. |

Yep. your voltage will be taken care of by the PSU automatically. You used to have to switch them over with a little red "breaker" type of thing, but I haven't even seen those on PSUs for years. No Worries

I just answered this under your other post.
Basically.. I'm not the official answer, but the Vanquish is a pre-built system with no customization. You'd need to go to the Vanquish 3 to get the i5.
DS does ship to Australia. For a quote, you'd need to call them or email [email protected] with the system you want and your international address. Good Luck. |
