Man i love that case... wish it was freaking a full tower though.. Mid towers are nice, just not my cup of tea i need big! That white with red glow is a good color too!  2600k builds are tasty!

Am I losing it or does this version show no HDD/SSD?
Totally want to buy one for my parents. Since I've had my Enix I've really felt like a PC that performs awesome on windows really would be great for the casual crowd and this pricepoint is tremendous.

I just tried to price the parts you've used on the base level here on NewEgg and I had to check twice because you have blown away the build or buy decision. There's almost no markup above standard retail at this pricepoint.

Couple that with the 72-hour ship turnaround and I'd tell you that DS just changed the game for this type of computer.

I wouldn't count on it. They've had pre-built systems before (though not of this quality) and they were already boxed and ready to ship, no customization allowed.

However, it'd be a pretty simple thing to buy one and install it yourself.

What I'm curious about is if changing a part would void the warranty on these things -- for instance, getting rid of the corsair cooler and adding something better.

My only regret is that they went with nVidia cards on the highest level build...but only because they don't match the color scheme :p

I'm wondering the same thing.

This is very attractive to me, but I would like to know if my warranty gets voided the second I try to upgrade a part -- I know I'd want to go from 8 GB RAM to 12 GB RAM in the next year or so. Also, I'd possibly even think about adding a nice sound card myself & bypassing the on-board sound at some point in the future.

And maybe...just maybe at a later date getting another cooling system.

This is all stuff I could only afford to do piece-meal.

But I would hate to void my warranty by doing stuff like that.

Sorry about that, just like any Digital Storm PC, you can upgrade the system without voiding the warranty.

 Man, I really wish there had been an i5 version but besides that the thing is killer!

This thing made me go from '6' to midnight, for the price i think its going to be near impossible to beat. The only thing i'm wondering is how difficult would it be for me to swap to an SSD on the base model myself ? (I know this is a very basic question, but i'm new to all this computer wizardry )

I agree with rice... just facebooked one of my buddies this since hes in the market for a new gaming PC after i just ordered mine. Only thing he doesn't like is the "white". He said "reminds of apple products". True to a point.. but i like it.

As someone that has been thinking about getting a DS computer for a while, these are intriguing. However, I must ask why is there no air-cooled CPU model?

Benchmarks seem to show the closed loop cooling solutions offered are in many cases inferior to Noctua air coolers, and I have concerns about being that one unlucky sod that gets a defective closed loop that leaks everywhere in their rig.

Just my 2 cents - thought you might appreciate feedback from a potential customer.

That's all good and well, but with air cooled solutions that cost roughly the same that perform just as well (if not better), this just seems like a silly risk for me to take.

I'm really excited about this new pre-built system DS has built, my only concern is the graphics card for the $1499 one, if I do get the basic model how well will it run Battlefield 3 .. not much of a tech head a friend just referred me here, and do you guys also overclock the card?

Also I made this system with the Radeon6950 2gb for $200 less.. is the ODE better than this long term??

It's priced very aggressively than Corsair and from our experience, performs just as good or better than other air coolers in the same price range. We also didn't want to put a massive heat sink on these systems and run the risk of customers receiving them with cracked motherboards due to the sheet weight large heat-sinks have.
