Digital Storm’s ODE – Redefining the Perfect Gaming PC

Pre-built, fully loaded and totally optimized, the ODE’s dominant gaming power demolishes any game it encounters

Fremont, Calif. - (May 24, 2011)Digital Storm, the predominant name in computer system integration and engineering, proudly announces its first pre-built gaming system, ODE. The ODE is a dramatic departure from Digital Storm’s legendary and individually customized gaming rigs. Now, PC gamers can easily acquire the best technology without having to select each individual component, as Digital Storm has pre-selected and fully optimized all of the hardware inside the ODE. The result is the perfect gaming PC that delivers unparalleled performance per dollar.

“If ever there was an indictment against PC gaming, it’s that it can be an expensive passion, that’s why most gamers build their own rigs. Digital Storm has never liked this status quo, so we set out to create a machine that would deliver the extreme performance PC gamers want without breaking the bank. That is how the ODE was born,” said Rajeev Kuruppu, Digital Storm’s Director of Product Development.

The ODE demolishes any game it encounters thanks to its arsenal of bleeding edge hardware. Spearheaded by a liquid cooled 5.0GHz extreme overclocked Intel i7 2600K processor, dual SLI configuration of two NVIDIA GTX 570’s, and a blazingly fast Intel solid state drive, the ODE delivers the type of fluid smooth graphics gamers drool over.

Each and every ODE is made with the same boutique level quality and care that every Digital Storm system is famous for. The ODE is pre-built and fully loaded with a perfectly balanced configuration that can ship in 72-hours. This means the ODE would get to gamers as quickly as possible so they can take this beast right out of its box, hook-up it up, and begin dominating the competition.

Digital Storm’s ODE gaming rigs are available in four different pre-set configurations starting at $1,499 and are available for purchase at http://www.digitalstormonline.com/ode.asp

Looks like a good solid budget builds for people that want a pre-build

the dual sli build has some nice stuff for the price

All of them have stuff to make build balanced in power, intel ssd, 600t, corsair psu, 4.5 to 4.8GHz oc (or higher depending on the model), pro mobo or higher, I mean I like to give these a 8/10 score, 10/10 would be with noctua and 850w hx. , but you know what, you can always upgrade your cooling and the psu has a 5 year warranty, so no matter what, IMHO you can lose, these are good

Alex -

Am I losing it or does this version show no HDD/SSD?
Totally want to buy one for my parents. Since I've had my Enix I've really felt like a PC that performs awesome on windows really would be great for the casual crowd and this pricepoint is tremendous.

The team fixed the bug. The configuration still had the hard drives which were shown once you clicked 'Buy Now.'

Thanks for the heads up!

Alex ..

I just tried to price the parts you've used on the base level here on NewEgg and I had to check twice because you have blown away the build or buy decision. There's almost no markup above standard retail at this pricepoint.

Couple that with the 72-hour ship turnaround and I'd tell you that DS just changed the game for this type of computer.

I wouldn't count on it. They've had pre-built systems before (though not of this quality) and they were already boxed and ready to ship, no customization allowed.

However, it'd be a pretty simple thing to buy one and install it yourself.

What I'm curious about is if changing a part would void the warranty on these things -- for instance, getting rid of the corsair cooler and adding something better.

My only regret is that they went with nVidia cards on the highest level build...but only because they don't match the color scheme :p

Very, very solid. I can hear my credit card calling out to me. "Skyrim! Skyrim!" it says. Not yet, my friend. Not yet.

It's pre-built for a reason, heh, but that white 600T looks so epic...the H60 looks nice and low-profile too.

That's one sexy looking rig though, I dont care if it's prebuilt or not.

New configurators are sick btw.

I'm wondering the same thing.

This is very attractive to me, but I would like to know if my warranty gets voided the second I try to upgrade a part -- I know I'd want to go from 8 GB RAM to 12 GB RAM in the next year or so. Also, I'd possibly even think about adding a nice sound card myself & bypassing the on-board sound at some point in the future.

And maybe...just maybe at a later date getting another cooling system.

This is all stuff I could only afford to do piece-meal.

But I would hate to void my warranty by doing stuff like that.

Thanks guys. We wanted to really push ourselves to create a powerful gaming PC that is really aggressive in pricing as well.

There are no customizations that we can do on these.

Alex, I realize that you guys won't do customizations on these systems -- that's what keeps the price so low. I appreciate that.

What I'm really asking is...what if I do any sort of "customization" to the system after I buy it (like I mentioned in my previous post)? Does that void the warranty?

Sorry about that, just like any Digital Storm PC, you can upgrade the system without voiding the warranty.

This thing made me go from '6' to midnight, for the price i think its going to be near impossible to beat. The only thing i'm wondering is how difficult would it be for me to swap to an SSD on the base model myself ? (I know this is a very basic question, but i'm new to all this computer wizardry Ninja)

As someone that has been thinking about getting a DS computer for a while, these are intriguing. However, I must ask why is there no air-cooled CPU model?

Benchmarks seem to show the closed loop cooling solutions offered are in many cases inferior to Noctua air coolers, and I have concerns about being that one unlucky sod that gets a defective closed loop that leaks everywhere in their rig.

Just my 2 cents - thought you might appreciate feedback from a potential customer.

That's why there is a warranty/30 day return. Anything you buy has a potential of DOA. Thats why DS tests each computer...

That's all good and well, but with air cooled solutions that cost roughly the same that perform just as well (if not better), this just seems like a silly risk for me to take.

Both have the same risk... What happens if the Noctua has a fan that dies, you'll only have 1 fan pushing or pulling. What happens if that 2nd fan dies? Now you're just overheating. Same concept applies to all cooling.. it has a risk.. If the LC setup was such a risk then DS would not mainstream it. You should trust DS' ability to make sure the customer is getting a perfect build. To me DS would never put in a "RISKY" cooling setup...

@DS_Prospect,

Thank you for your interest in Digital Storm. The reason behind us using the Corsair H60 unit is due to it's performance over price ratio. It's priced very aggressively and from our experience, performs just as good or better than other air coolers in the same price range.

We also didn't want to put a massive heat sink on these systems and run the risk of customers receiving them with cracked motherboards due to the sheet weight large heat-sinks have.
