Feedback on my Gaming Rig

I'm interested in getting a Digital Storm. I plan to use it for gaming and Adobe CS4 and 3DMax. I like playing games such as Crysis and Far Cry in their max settings. I have a 24 inch Samsung Wide Screen HD monitor. I like some feedback on my configuration that I have selected.

wouldn't nvidia be better for 3d?

tho right now their cards are behind.

just so you know wiht a gpu in that mobo you are left with 2 pci lanes, and if you add another gpu you will be left with no pci lanes.

change psu to corsair.

don't use a 2TB drive for os, get an ssd which will be faster anyways, remember:

HDD1 = fast drive: os/apps/games

HDD2 = regular large drive: media/personal/work file storage

Don't fill up your HDD1 more then 50%, if think you will need more room for it then pick a bigger one.

now if you think 250GB is not enough then raid, the fass is $700.

not sure how well that physx card will work with the ati card, I would drop it.

you will see no gain from teh xfx 5870.

with lc you don't need upgraded fans, they are loud, all your fans don't get changed, our front fan will still be red led.

with that kind of a setup make the changes I said and take the money and go with hailstorm.

the touch 2000 is pointless, you can't control all the fans, and reported temps are not as accurate as some softwares that can show it to you for free.

drop the oc from the gpu, you will see no gains, its a minimal oc.

change win7 to pro so you have xp mode.

go with 5 year warranty if you can.

so drop the stuff I mentioned and save yourself teh money and spend it on something that will make a difference in performance.

don't believe anything you read about the ati card, there is lots and I mean lots of bs going around about it.

wait till the cards come out and lets see.

for your use I think you may want to wait for it and see how its and prices and etc.

if you ask me, aside from the case and HDD you did go all out.

LC is not needed, its more of a luxury item if you will for you use.

you can go with air cooling and be just fine. but LC is nice of course, I think you should lc the cpu and not the gpu, save a ton of money and gpu upgrades will be easy also and you still get LC on teh cpu.
