Hello everyone, I just wanted to post a quick mini-review of my Enix.
Pros:
-Compact
-Easy to open
-Very accessible top ports. I never realized how much more convenient having all the ports on the top would be.
-Runs very cool and quiet, even under load
Cons:
-The power button is very easy to press while messing with the ports on the top. It's a very light clicky button that takes less force to press than the keys on my keyboard.
-The case has a raised lip around where the graphics card ports are. With the GTX 680, the lip prevents my DisplayPort cable from being plugged in.
-SSD (Corsair Force GT) unmounted itself a few times, but a firmware upgrade seems to have fixed it.
Before I purchased the PC I noticed other reviews said that it runs pretty loud without liquid cooling. When I booted it up the first time it was indeed very loud. After a little investigation I found that automatic fan speed control was disabled for one of the bigger fans, which left it running at maximum speed. I enabled automatic fan speed control and it's nearly silent now. Even under load the fans aren't as loud as they were with automatic speed control disabled.
Overall I'm happy with my computer, it's fast, compact, and quiet. I would buy the Enix again, the pros definitely outweigh the minor annoyances. Digital Storm has been a great company to deal with and is quick to answer any questions I have. It's really nice knowing there's someone to call that actually cares about my experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a high end system.
