Hey all I'm looking at getting Eclipse level 3 or 4 but I'm a little concerned about future upgrades. The PSU states that it supports up to the 970. But what about in a few years when I'm wanting to upgrade above a 970? Can I swap the PSU out for one with higher capability? I'm not sure if the case only supports that specific PSU.

The PSU is SFX form factor. There are a few out there, but no where near as many as the larger ATX form factor. You can currently get SFX PSUs up to 600W. You'll only need to upgrade the PSU if you get a GPU that uses more than the 145W TDP that the GTX 970 has.

If you want to be a bit more future proofed I would really be buying the Vanquish system.
I know it is larger but it would be the direction I would be going. |

If upgrading in the future is your prime concern, then the Vanquish is a better choice with its more conventional case. The Vanquish will cost $100 more than the Eclipse but it comes with a 600w PS.

That's certainly an option.
I looked it up and it looks like the Eclipse uses the Silverstone RVZ01. And for that case it says it can support the 600w sfx PSU that Silverstone makes. Would that be fine? |

There is/would be nothing stopping you from changing out the PSU to another SFX PSU.
