Hello - hopefully this is a fairly simple question. I like to do gaming sessions once a week or so for a few hours.

I really want to play Skyrim with ENBs at 1920 and get a solid 60 FPS. I also enjoy playing Total War Attila, and would like 1920 @ 60fps.

Anything greatly over 60fps is overkill to me. I currently have an Alienware x51 with a GTX 660.

So, I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy an Eclipse (and I really like the smaller form factor), but is the level 2 sufficient for my needs with a 970? Or is the extra $550 worth it (or needed) for the 980?

Thanks much

Hi meschert,

Take a look at this table from the Vanquish II systems. You can see what a 970 will do for you. Vanquish II level 4 uses a 970 gpu.

It looks like a 970 will be good enough to get 60+ FPS with Skyrim (no mods) and TW Rome 2 & Shogun 2. Search around for benchmarks online if you want to find performance for specific mods or otherwise.
