Actually, this begs a question. How come SSD prices on the configurator are so damn high? I just looked at rough prices for the X25-M (80 gb) now on various sites, just the drive, and they were $350-ish while here the configurator lists them at $546. Matter of fact, all the SSD's seem a bit high. If the new drives are expected to be $250 for an 80gb.. does that mean DS price is $450 to keep with current practices? Is it installation fees or something or cost of warranty issues?

I was referencing the old drives. The old X25-M 80 gig is $350. It even has that in your linked article.

We have to reflect with the prices we've purchased the inventory for. Until we clear our old items, we can't update the items price.

Well.. as an old manager of mine used to say, "product on the shelf is not making money". Good luck clearing out the inventory given the extreme cost difference at this point.

I agree, I doubt anyone's
going to pay that price,
Well that is if they know
you can get it cheaper online.
