I think he's pulling a kid in a candy store syndrome. He's putting his rig on hold waiting for the next new shiny thing to come out but by the time it does new stuff comes out that he wants to wait for, and so on and so on. And/or some part(s) he wants is on backorder.

lol no, no 480s, I will wait and use the 4 x 295 for a few month before I upgrade them.
I think its gonna be a bit longer now due to a 140mm fan we need to order. my pc pretty much looks like the one in the DS review from maximum pc here, difference is I got 4 x 295, 4x classified, hailstrom has been modifed, my own rads, 1500 silverstone psu, and pump heads and fans and blocks. sure, like I said for a folding farm, for gaming, only use quad SLI, which is fairly crappy, but all 8 GPU's will fold as good as two 480's

for fodling they are close, the 480 will probably do like 13000 to 15000 points a day where the 295 will do 11000 to 13000 points a day.
so there is not going to be a huge difference in folding. ya 980x
4 x 295 = 8 gpus if you will, each 295 is 2 gpus in internal sli. |

from what I have seen 1 GTX 480 will fold the same as 2 GTX 295's
