lol you guys know those fans are listed as 16 dba and 63 cfm so supposedly they should be quiet and powerful, but I doubt it
@Bullseye, Drunken Monkey is what justin calls his pc, its a hell of beast, its got like 6 rads, 40 somewhat fans, and etc, check out the thread in this section of the forum with the name Drunken Monkey and you will see it, its like my pc x 3 but with better rads and blocks and etc.
@neilkaz, this is more like stage 10 cooling but the temps are mainly due to the LC system, those fans you see are more for looks then anything.

remember HW monitor does not read temps, or anything for that matter correctly.
especially when it reports the chip having an idle temp of 69F??
wait till DST gets it and runs REALTEMP GT and then runs Linx.

Holy crap! That is one impressive piece of hardware you got there DST. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of all the lights, but that just looks incredible. You guys at DS have put together a work of art. That right there is the true definition of a beast.

@Invader Mig, yes they did one hell of job, venom did it and I love it, I called him the other day and told him how much I appreciated all the effort he put in there and how much I loved it.
I wish the paint had worked out, cause with the paint it was even crazier.
@chabornik, thanks I will try but by next year I'm probably gonna change a few things.
@rogueunicorn, we had to modify the hailstorm, fore example as you see the psu divider is not longer in the case, it was cutout.

Hey DST4ME wasn't the power supply painted to react in UV light? Or did you change that? Or am I going crazy and thinking of something else? lol

Intel plans on standardizing Octo-Core in two years. *future rig pwns DS's rig That is, unless you pop in a new mobo and processor. Which I know you will.

lol I was plaining on using another 140mm fan on that divider, so you can imagine I was not happy, but I rather have the 800d, 4x classified, 4 x 295 then that 1 x 140mm fan

It should be shipped monday with a bit of luck Rice, lol I have been waiting to order and get this pc before you even bought yours remember
@superbabosheki, this pc was ordered in august of 2009, so that is when the gpus were bought and paid for, however due to hardware conflicts and availability, I'm getting it this week, if I were ordering now, it would be 4 x 480. the gpus will get upgraded at least once a year anyways.
I fold with my gpus so the more cores or the more powerful the core/s the more folding can be done.

lol yup exactly, ive learned along time ago unless your willing to spend thousands every 2 years or so its not worth looking at what you could of had if you waited or spent that few dollars more. Technology especially you can always "wait" that one more month/s to get the best next thing. Its a never ending process.

lol is it me or that vcore pretty high? and not that it matters but shouldn't the oc be 4.422?
with a 5 year warranty, I'm not complaining.
I wonder if I can get to be at 34 or 35 multiplier, I wonder how long it will take before I burn this chip out

lol...according to the math I used, you are right, it should be 4.422 .
What is the max voltage on the i7 980X? And if your temps are any where close to what Alex reported in an earlier post, you still have room to go faster...lol.

yeah, that chip won't last long. year tops, if you are folding.
VTT is really high, + all the auto voltages are prolly going to be out of wack, the BIOS is really old, so updating that might help.
you running 1866Mhz RAM? 14 RAM multi?

Oh that V-core is making me cringe !! I know you have some awesome cooling that is beyond my stage 4, but I strongly suggest using RealTemp GT and checking core temps with your apps running 100% CPU usage.
My multi is also 33 and my Bclk 134 but I am stable with 1.4125 V-core. Your vtt also seems high. I seemed stable at 4.51 Ghz using 1.45 V-core but decided to play it a bit safe and turn it down. I need to ask DS and others if these chips can take 1.49V-core for 24/7 use since then I will be able to likely ran 4.55GHz at about 1.475 V-core.
Re: 4411 Mhz vs 4422, both CPU-Z and RealTemp GT report 4.411 GHz since they say Bclk is fractionally lower than 134. Real Temp says 133.67. I'll ask Justin if Bclk is really lower than the integer ammount, or if this just is seem that way by the CPU monitering programs.
If you decide to lower V-core and maintain the OC I most certainly will be following along.
