Topic: Dreadnought: My DS system arrived (PICS posted) Posted: 29 Nov 2011 at 10:40am |

**Edit -- Posted PICTURES
Well, my new DS system arrived yesterday.
Here is what I got:
http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadsaved.asp?id=615801
I haven't really had much of a chance to do anything with it -- I'm terribly tied down with work these days. So it is way too early for me to give any kind of review or anything yet.
However, I wanted to ask a terribly 'noob' question...
On the back of my computer...just underneath my 2 video cards is a RED switch. I'm afraid to flip it to find out what that switch does. Would anyone be able to tell me what it is for?
If needed I can post a picture of the switch I'm talking about when I get some time to do so.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you!

Congrats on your new rig The switch I believe is to turn off and on your internal, red neon lights. Thats's what it does on my ODE.

I finally got around to taking some pictures. You'll notice that you can also see my DS x15, which I bought last year. http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadsaved.asp?id=615801

My NEW DS rig. I've named him 'JCN'. Think 'HAL' from "2001: Space Odyssey"

Hi CArnold40,
Thanks for sharing your photos. You have a nice setup. Congratulations on putting your computer up where it can get good air circulation. I never understand how someone gets a rocking socking computer and then sets it on a carpet or sticks it in a compartment with no air circulation.

Thank you for posting the pictures. If you can add some content such as a paragraph about your review, the system's performance, etc... we can go ahead and quote something in it and move your review to the "Customer Reviews" section.

Also, glad to see that you're a repeat customer. You own both a Digital Storm laptop and desktop! That's awesome!

So far, I'm loving it. I've been playing 'Lord of the Rings Online' and BF3 on Ultra settings. Everything seems smooth as silk.
I'm going to play on it for another few days, and then try to take a few minutes to just give a brief review (which will be pretty non-technical, sine I don't understand 1/2 that stuff).
