For years I have been DJing on off the shelf PC's using Serato DJ software and it's worked fine. But with all the new options being added to Serato and my forever growing catalog of music I finally decided to step up to a more powerful gaming laptop to do my job.
I just ordered a 15" Javelin & can't wait to put it to work.
I'll update my post on how my first gig goes.

Finally set my new Digital Storm Javelin to use for DJing. I downloaded Serato 1.6.2, connected my Pioneer DJ-SX controller, updated the Pioneer firmware and jumped right in.
The laptop ran great. No lag, no dropout, great sound. Much improved over my old Dell XPS. I'll post my current configuration below:

15.6 Javelin
i7 3.80Ghz
16GB Ram
750GB Solid State
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2GB
Windows 7 Home Premium

Hopefully this helps a few other DJs out there.
