Hey guys,
I just bought my first DS rig, the $1199 Marauder model, and I cant wait for it to arrive in the next couple of weeks. I fell out of PC gaming for a while because of my Military duty, and my limited amount of time to devote to gaming, HOWEVER, with that said, I bought D3 last week and it's awesome. I've had a solid laptop for about 4 years, but it really showed its age when the environmental effects in D3 kicked its @$$.
I'm looking forward to some solid D3 fun, and a new FPS. I was thinking about Skyrim or Max Payne 3. Has anyone played MP yet, and is it everything we've been hoping for? I've been an avid fan of MaxP since I played the first game with my old Pentium 3, 600 Mhz, 256 Ram E-Machine way back in 2000.
I'm new to DS and I'm new to these forums, so if anyone has some solid suggestions I'm open ears. Thanks!

i just received my $999 version of the marauder yesterday.
diablo 3 is almost done downloading, however i started playing about midway thru the download.
with factory speeds my comp is playing D3 on the highest level graphics with 100+ fps.
in fact with this new comp i am attacking twice as fast as i was before on a 2008 rig, it even reduces the cast length of spells by a lot. everything is crisp and smooth and i think you will be pleased.
also i highly recommend you get a 5+ button mouse if you dont have and macro one of them to the "force stand still" keybinding, this way you can easily cast with your left mouse button without having to hold down shift the whole time.

How well will the Level 1 Marauder play Diablo 3? I'm about to order this week. I'd love to get the level 3 but budget may not allow it.

Disregard, I just placed an order for the Lvl 3 Marauder. After some thought decided to get what I wanted and not regret it later

I'd never own an AMD product. Solid system if it was not using AMD products.
That is opinion, however from what I have seen; Intel and Invidia makes AMD look stupid.

Well AMD is what's in the Marauder so if I wanted to get a DS rig that was what I could afford at my price point.
If DS is using them and putting their name on it I'll trust it.

Ok so I finally got Diablo 3 installed on my new Marauder Lvl 3. All I can say is "wow"
I have a 21" Gateway monitor 1680x1050 and I was able to run Diablo 3 with all graphics settings to max and held steady at 60fps. After about 45 mins of play I had a max GPU temp of 56 degrees.
Don't know if that's too high, maybe i need to see about getting more fans?
Loving my Marauder

That GPU temp seems way fine, I wouldn't worry about it.
