Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I've been out of DS for awhile,
What is Cryo-tec ? Compared to their regular custom Loop cooling ?
makes that much of a difference on a 24/7 5ghz stable ? and would it allow me to go beyond ? lol

I'm about to order a new build just for this Cryo-tec stuff if it's night and day difference from my dual loop
I'm stable only at 4.8ghz with my dual loop setup

if it's sub zero , what about the condensation ?
I tried to check out the post on this in this forum but i became puzzled

What need do you have of going 5ghz 24/7 from what I have read even people using the cryotec can have troubles oc at 5ghz and being stable. That high of a speed will dramatically shorten the life of the cpu even if it is running that cold. Cryo tec is just a phase change cooling setup to put it in simple terms. the speed of a oc of that scale run 24/7 will degrade the cpu even if its kept cool you can still have bsod and instability. If you are running 4.8ghz now and only want to get the cryo tec to see if you can increase it to 5ghz I would be carefull. Processors are not equal some oc better than others, but in the end its your choice just warning you lol

The Cryo-TEC system is a thermoelectric peltier based solution. We place the cold side directly on the processor and cool the hot side with a custom liquid cooling setup. The cold side gets very, very cold, which then allows us to lower the CPU premature allowing for better temps.

This system can help unlock higher overclocks, but, please note, the newer 22nd CPUs base don Ivy Bridge do not overclock higher than 4.8Ghz+ easily.

The Cryo-TEC is the perfect option for customers whom simply want the most powerful performance PC on the planet.

ah ok, so it's like a newer cleaner looking TEC cooling.
the TEC Cooling setups I'm used to seeing looks awful
it was for SB-E btw , I'm not a fan of IVY's or any LGA1155 Sockets because of the PCI lanes.

Thanks for clearing that up !
I might jump on this on the next gen processors
hopefully next gen will be better OCers
