In 2009 I had a core i7 930 @2.8 GHz (socket LGA1366). I wonder if the core i5 4670K @3.4 GHz in the Virtue is better than this? I'm guessing that it is.
If a gaming pc already costs $1400, is it really worth the money (or a point) to get an i7 instead of an i5? From the reviews I've seen, with an i5 and a GTX 760, the fps is 80 at high settings in most games.

The newer 4670k , by a few generations, is faster across the board. For gaming, the i5 is all you need at this time.
