Im just hoping that the liquid cooled 940 can get to 4.0Ghz. If it can hit that high i will most likely get it. Unless i feel like being ridiculous when i order and go with a liquid cooled 965. Its quite possible that the latter will happen. The 5Ghz quad core is just...arousing. (5Ghz x 4 processor's = 20Ghz of processing power?) (5Ghz x 8 processors(Hyperthreading) = 40Ghz of processing power?)

It will be worth it. At least i think so. Or at least down the road. Benchmarks showed that it overclocked finally unlocks total potential of CrossFireX and 3way-SLI. Since i will be using CrossFireX down the road, having a cpu that can keep up will be a nice edge.

I hope you realize the person that reached 5.4GHz on a 965 was using a 3 stage cascade (-100C)...

Ya. Isnt the 920 capable of getting to 4.0Ghz? I would expect a little higher out of the 940 then. Right? 

Im not willing to dish out an additional 500 dollars over the 940 for the Extreme 965. Its really not gonna make a HUGE difference. But some people just have to have the cutting edge. 

Im sure that a ~4.0Ghz 940 with 6 gigs of triple channel ram and a ATI 4870x2 will be sufficient to play any game for the next 2 years.

I just said 2 years. By then there will most likely be a game that can push this card. Then i just buy another one and say hello to my new best friend, CrossFireX!

Wow. Then we can expect roughly 4.4GHz from the 940 right?

Ill ask DS to push it as far as they can and still have it stable. If they get it under 4.0Ghz ill be kinda disappointed and push further myself. 

If im going to be over clocking it myself should i even bother paying for them to do it?Also if i OC it more than they do would it void my warranty?

This is very true. Like i said, ill just ask them to push it as far as they can. Hopefully they will give me what im looking for, 4.2GHz+ but im not going to hold my breath.

Hmm wonder if liquid cooled will be enough for 4.4ghz...

Oh of course i am too, without a doubt.
Im just wondering how far you can push a 940 with the liquid cooling that DS offers.
At least until heat becomes too much. But i don't for see it being a problem.

Ya. Its time like these that time just can't seem to go fast enough. 

Oh well. I wonder if DS already has the i7's and is testing them out?
