Topic: Core i5 2500k or i7 3770k? Posted: 09 Jul 2012 at 5:14pm |
Only using this pc for gaming.. thinking of going with the i5 2500k do to how cost effective it is, but anyone feel a need to move forward to a newer chip such as the i7 3770k or i5 3570k, is it simply overkill?.. input welcome. Also with either overclocked to around 4.6-4.8 is the Noctua nh d-14 enough cooling wise?
Any input welcome. If you want to get a PC just for gaming, then go with the i5 series, you don't really need an i7.

Noctua d14 is the best. No problem there.
