Control Panel Error?

Hey guys,

Starting a few days ago, I get the following error message when I try to run the Control Panel application (that tracks/controls fan speed, case lighting, etc.):



I've checked the Device Manager like the error says, and have tried entering COM3, with no luck -- I get a popup that says "Error while connecting, make sure you use all CAPS, example: COM3"



Any ideas on where to go from here? Thanks for the help in advance.

Being a propriety design I can't say for sure, but it sounds like the control board for the lights and fans is defective. It does use USB as interface.   You could try unplugging other devices first or not plugging in a USB while the rig is on.

If you leave it on all the time, power off and reboot to reset devices.
