Hi all, I'm in desperate need of a new comp.
Budget: Around $2000. Can go a little higher if need be to get something suitable for my needs.

Expectations: Run 2 monitors, main one a 22" 1680x1050 and  secondary 17" 1280x1024. I would like to replace the 17" monitor with a 24" or 27" sometime soon and make that the main one. I also might want to add a sound card later on and a 2nd hard drive.

Usage: play games, WoW, Diablo 3, Battlefield 3 etc on decent settings (as high as possible for my budget). I usually tend to multitask, so I have a game going on my larger screen with web browser and/or chat etc on my smaller screen. Would also like to watch blu-ray movies.

Special needs: Very important I like as quiet a comp as possible but I prefer to not go to any sort of liquid cooling. Also, a nice looking comp is a plus but not totally necessary.

Here is the build ive come up with so far, not sure if MB, memory or power supply are appropriate.

Hi veggiepiezza welcome to the forums.

For your budget I would look at the ODE v2 computers.  The ODE level 3 costs 1799 and comes with the GTX 580 graphics card.  The ODE level 4 costs 2049 and comes with AMD HD 7970 graphics card, a 120GB SSD and 1TB HDD.

Both the level 3 and level 4 have the 3770k CPU in them as well.

Check them out had see what you think

Is to recognize thyself as thy 1st enemy.

Thx Asangard. I did check out the ODE line of computers. But like I posted I dont want any sort of liquid cooling. Otherwise I probably would go for one of those.

Hi veggiepizza.

How about this build.

Config # 685757    Cost $ 2110  EDIT  the second time I did it from scratch to check,  it came out to $2054 ?  The difference was the ram at 1600Mhz.  All you need and saves another $56.

For $16 more you get the gtx 680 for great gaming.  I dropped to the i5-3570k with no hyperthreading, but gaming doesn't need and dropped air cooler to the A50.  For stage 1 oc, the A 50 should be fine.

If you go to a 24" or 27" monitor then the gtx680 will really shine.

Just something to look at.Big%20Smile
