if any want to get in on it, register over at callofduty.com (ignore the forums there... its really annoying!)

If your DS rig can handle cod4 (if you have a ds rig it damn well should!) then it can run the new one.

Its just like call of duty, and call of duty 2, and call of duty 4.. i lost track of numbers.

You have a single player and you have a multiplayer.

Any word on whether their will be any strategy on this game? I liked 4 for what it was, but the lone wolf, run and gun got boring quickly. Squad play, contol points, VOIP, strategy of any kind?

Lol on the numbers.  I know one of those flavors was multi only.  Times I like to play offline, thanks for the info, Nomak!  Still waiting on my rig and now will order COD5.

Got the chance to play the pre-pre beta (alpha?) of this game at Nvision08, it feels very much like COD4. It was running on one of our systems. ;)

well kinda off the pc topic , but the beta is out on the 360 and its a pretty damn good game. cant wait to get it for my DS PC.!

The PC Beta is out as well... I really like it. It feels more like a pro mod of cod4  but I loved that game anyway.

Randy and I checked out your server tonight Ed. Pretty good, I get like a 110 ping though. I placed 3rd on our team, Randy got 2nd. I go by Dukex64 and hes Randoman. Seeya around.

Ed, once I get my new rig, I will check out your server!  Current rig is only good for emailing and offline stuff.

COD5 is pretty good.  But yes, it's basically COD4 w/new weapons, skins, & maps.  WHICH IS GOOD WITH ME!  I like the game, however I do think the WWII era shooters are getting old.  But it's new so I dig it.  I play in the [TMX] clan.  We are basically just a bunch of (mature) guys that play together and have fun.  We mainly play S&D (search and destroy) that way it's more of having to actually do something instead of just run-n-gun.
 
I read that they are wanting to put out a new COD game every year.  I was hoping the next one would be more futuristic something like BF2142 or something.  I'm not too keen on the south pacific theme.  My favorite map is by far Roundhouse, followed by Airfield.  I absolutely HATE Makin.
 
All=n-all it's a pretty good game but it has a lot of bugs in it that need fixed.  I keep getting server authentication errors a lot of the time.  They say it's because I'm behind a router and I should direct connect to the pc and not thru the router.  However, I never had this problem in COD4?  C'mon Treyarch....what gives!  My dad is having all sorts of issues with the single player.
 
The game plays FLAWLESSLY on my new DSO rig I've had it for about six weeks now.  I'm really not all that impressed with Vista now, I wish I would have gotten a duel boot XP/Vista system.  I have a few programs on XP that will not work on Vista.  I play with all settings max'd out and res at 1680x1050 on my 22" monitor.  Absolutely love the eye candy.  COD4 would run at a rock solid 60fps (not sure if you can go higher than that?).
 
Anyway, we would enjoy anyone who comes by our server.  We are always on in the evenings.  Google Clan TMX for our IP address.

Man, I guess Im gonna have to try a online game,,  Im more a Video/editing kinda geek and all and spend hours creating and editing Vid,.. I still consider myself a gamer, but sadly never got online to game,,  always played a single player shooter or just go a RPS single player..

Im not even sure where to start in trying to find servers as above,, but I'll give a chance and try and figure it out..  oh yeah, I do have COD- World at War. 
Hopefully I can get this figured by Christmas..

Hey would love to join you for some cod 5 i just got my new DS rig a couple weeks ago and i am loving every minute! i have been playing alot of bolt rifles only and team deathmatch. i play mostly in {SKA} server i get a good connection and i have lvled up to brig general in a couple days.
