Hey all just a deployed contractor out here needing some advice on the Bolt II, currently looking at the level 3 with a

ASUS MAXIMUS VII IMPACT (Intel Z97 Chipset) (Mini-ITX) (SupremeFX Impact, Sonic Radar

16GB DDR3 1866MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested)

700W Digital Storm Bolt II Edition

Hardline: Digital Storm Acrylic Tubing Custom Cooling System (CPU Only)

all 3 boosts, graphics, cpu, and os

Now i want all this but i dont know much about computers, mostly will be using this to play games like WOW, LOL, BF4, Plants Vs Zombies Garden warfare Etc and what else that comes out but I dont know if all this clashes with everything I put together. If someone could help me outI would be appreciative, the only problem I have is the Computer must weight less than 50 lbs to travel back with me when i go to iraq.

Hi wilsonab2... The Bolt level 3 with those changes will work great together.

Change the Seagate HDD to the Western Digital Black for another $19 for a better drive with longer warranty.

For a single monitor, below 4k resolution, a 1920x1080 for example, the gtx 980 will game great.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Go to More Info under each motherboard to see what you need or don't.   Tough to compare all the different features, but in general, the extra money for that board is for a better audio chip , sonic radar for in game audio positioning , and a board designed with added tools for overclocking yourself, if that's your thing. The default board is a real nice mobo for most, and the ROG you have in your build is for enthusiasts, top of the line, if you'll use the features.

One more consideration... the Hardline cooling option is a real nice setup, but if your deployed for security overseas, it is a water cooled option and at some point will need basic maintenance, like topping off the fluid, flushing it, etc. Might be months from now but just so you know. The default 240mm cooler is a sealed unit, with no maintenance.   Your choice of course. I love the Hardline but there are trade offs.

You don't mention a graphics card for your build. Also you will need an external monitor, the resolution on that would be useful in giving advice on the graphics card.

Also, I would suggest an SSD. I don't know what kind of environment you will be in but, SSDs will be more durable then hard drives. Capacities are up to 1TB these days and the bolt can fit up to 4, thought that would get pretty expensive.

That is a valid point, is there a specific fluid i would need? I just want to ensure that my new baby doesnt overheat, she will be mainly in my room that i keep cool with ac, but if you believe the 240 mm cooler is fine ill believe you.

Not sure what DS uses right now, but FluidXP was one and is available online or have DS send an extra bottle with your rig. If you're in a remote area or the Zone, then distilled water works very good. Not really a big issue with water cooling, just something to be aware of.

Stay in touch.

Taking the Bolt II overseas during a deployment... yes, I would like to see pics of the setup after you get there.  A bit of DS magic in a place far from home.  Wow...
