Bolt 3

Yesterday I placed an order for a new Lvl 4 Bolt 3. They ran out of cases so it will be two weeks before they have them back in stock. My order will not budge an inch (no emails telling me it has reached a new stage) till the cases come in. What a downer, but I just love this new bolt case. I was not going to get a replacement computer for my over 5 year old DS Black Ops Assassin even though it was starting to have intermittent crashes and BIOS problems. Then my girl friend had her computer die on her (I had repaired that old piece of junk so many times) and of course she hinted that it would be nice to have my computer if I ever replaced it. From time to time I would come to the DS website and see everything that was new. When DS unveiled the new Bolt 3 I couldn't stop thinking about it. That beautiful computer was calling to me. "Buy me!" The next 2 weeks are going to be the longest of my life. Then the 2 or 3 weeks till I receive it will be the longest of my life. DS computers are fantastic but this waiting is terrible.

There is no way she could get my computer before the new Bolt arrives.  

I guess they have not gotten the cases in stock yet because my order has not even moved to Stage 1. I know "1 is the Loneliest Number" but it sure would be nice to see it about now. ( For those of you that don't get the reference, just Google it. I might be showing my age with that reference.  )

DS has never let me down.

My system has entered "Stage 1" so the Bolt 3 cases must of been restocked or DS knows they are on their way. What a relief to see some movement on my order. Now it starts with me checking my email several times a day to see if a new stage has been achieved. 

Thank you for the reply Nav. It is good to know that the cases are almost there and that the building of my unit should start this week.

I'm jealous. My Bolt 3 has been stuck in Stage 1 for a couple of weeks now
I wouldn't be so concerned except my old system is dead, leaving me computerless at home, sigh.

When I spoke to Tammy on Monday, she said they expected to start building Bolt 3's in a day or two. Looks like the schedule has slipped yet again

We're doing our best to get all orders out as quickly as possible, there was a massive waiting line with the pre-orders. We are trying to get the oldest orders out first. We should be building more units within the next few days to a week.

Hey GB,  I talked to Tammy yesterday (Thursday) and she told me that they ran out of the cooling system and had just got a batch in so my Bolt was in the Stage 5 stress test at that time.  Today I received 2 Update emails - Stage 6 and just a couple of hours ago Stage 7 where DS technician Johnathan told me my Bolt had been successfully overclocked.      DS usually ships 1 business day after completion of Stage 7. With this being Friday that means my beautiful Bolt 3 should ship on Monday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it does make it out the DS doors and on its' way to me. I placed my order on April 14th so I am sure they will be getting yours done soon. Like Alex said they want to get the oldest orders out first. They must use the FIFO system. I like that!

Jim, you should definitely do what Alex suggested. Write an email to DS and have them look into this. My Bolt 3 is a level 4 and the reason it took so long to get it built is they ran out of parts and they had to wait for these to be re-stocked. There might be some part of your Bolt that is out of stock. I feel for you Jim. I know the waiting was rough on me but to not also have a working computer would be extra hard. The bad part of this is that this is Saturday and no one will be in the DS offices till Monday to read your email and then get you some answers.     I would really like to hear how this turns out for you Jim, so please post here again when you get some answers from DS.

My Bolt 3 was completed on Friday and shipped today (Monday).      The estimation is that it will make it all the way here to Ohio and me on Friday. That would be great if it did so I can tell everyone (even work) not to bother me for two days while I get it set up the way I want it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there are no problems getting it here by Friday.

I have yet to receive a reply to my mail from DS. But, I do see my Bolt 3 has moved to Stage 3 yesterday, so that is progress.

I think I'm in the same boat as Bruins. I ordered my Bolt III on April 8TH sat at stage 3 for 3 or 4 weeks,DS left a message on my phone telling me the cases were in Yeah, a week later I'm still at stage 3, ask for an update and now I'm told the case will be in the first week in June, huh? I replied to that email didn't hear back, so I sent an email to management still waiting to hear back from someone.
I'm rooting for you Bruins, but not sure if I want to wait till the first of June to see if the cases actually come in and if they do, will I actually get one. 2 months seems like a long wait???

I suggest just letting the stage updates proceed. The team is working on getting units out as quickly as possible.
