So iv'e been getting Bluescreen while playing games. This is a computer made for Multiprocessing, but it should be able to play games as well. When I analyze on WhoCrashed, this is what pops up.

I contacted Support awhile back, and he said it was because it was something with the Superclock on it. He advised me to remove it, or try and plug into a wall, instead of a Surge Protector... So I put it straight into the wall. Didn't fix, and he left his job at digital storm. I really don't want to send the computer back, but obviously if its the only way. But he said it wasn't necessary.

Basically I need detailed instructions on how to remove the superclock. He also noted that I wouldn't notice it very much, and i'm fine with a little less performance. Other than Bluescreens this computer is amazing! Hope you can help me out.

Also it now started Bluescreening during Rendering... Which is very bad, because I do it often!

Hi AshesDen... to remove your cpu overclock, power down, reboot and hold in the DEL key while booting. The Bios screen should open. It might take a couple of trays to get into Bios. On the bottom right of Bios are the hotkeys.   Usually, hit F5 to load defaults, F10 to save and Exit. It can always be put back by going to the Tools tab, select The Asus oc profile and reload.

Hope this helps.

Do I did "Optimized Defaults" keybind. But how do I know if it fixed it? I mean I checked under a tab that said overclocking. It looks a bit different. Under CPU it was manually set to 42 or something. It was reset to auto! Hope thats it, and I hope I didn't mess with any other settings with my computer. Other than Bluescreen I like the way it works. Guess well have to wait for a bluescreen?

You can check if overclock is disabled by downloading the free CPU-Z, run it while stressing your rig with a game or Windows Experience Index and on the bottom left of CPU-Z you'll see core speed go to 3900mHz. If the oc is still there then core speed will probably show 4200mHz or so.

Fingers crossed on the BSOD.

If it's set to auto in the BIOS and you saved and restarted your system, it will now run the several different things in CPU-Z.

You'll notice at idle it changes constantly from like 1.xghz (or 1x00mhz) to 3.9ghz (3900mhz). It will use turbo boost to bump up to 3.9ghz.

I'm not really liking what I'm hearing here.

Did you overclock it yourself or did you pay for it to be overclocked? It's a K series, so why wouldn't you want it overclocked. If you did pay for it to be overclocked, have you been having this issue from Day 1? A lot here just seems fishy and not right.

Well the first time I played a game yes. But the lower games when I benchmarked didn't do anything. But full settings on Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Stuff like that, it would bluescreen. From day one it has, and I did pay for an overclock. But I haven't had an issue at all sense I set it to auto on BIOS. Ill post if it happeneds again!

Sounds like the overclock was causing your BSOD. Call DS and they'll tweak the overclock for you for free.   It's part of their service.    Sometimes just a small increase in vcore will fix it.

You could just leave the overclock off and your performance will be close, but it is a simple adjustment if you can call them.

I agree.   If its working and your happy, then go for it.    Overclocking isn't a big jump in gaming unless you're an overclocking enthusiast and with some games, none at all.

Enjoy.  Big%20Smile

Not much of a Gamer, just get on at times. I use it for Multi-Processing. After Effects, Sony Vegas, programs like those. Just didn't think it should Bluescreen when I render or play a game :)

Actually, for your apps the overclocking should help.   It shouldn't Blue screen but sometimes the overclock in a different environment will cause an issue.  It is an easy fix, over the phone if you can.   You did pay for it and I would use DS support to help.  But, your call.  Big%20Smile
