I've got a new Vanquish lvl 4 with 2 hard drives on its way and I'm trying to determine how to best back up the system.

First, let me state I'm coming from Apple OS so I'm rather lost and confused. With my apple products I just used "Time Machine" and if the hard drive failed I had a complete backup which restored everything including my game settings like nothing happened.

So how do I do this in Windows 8.1? I keep reading about image backup and other terms but I'm just getting confused. What is the simplest way for a non computer guy to backup his stuff so it can be returned back to normal -including all my settings within my online games-? I'm looking thru books and online but still feel lost.
