Asus Immensity X58

supposed to be coming out a little late in the year, possibly when Sandy Bridge might be being introduced and X58 going obsolete, but whatever, i think it's still somewhat interesting.

the main thing that's fun about the mobo is the it has an ATI 5770 onboard, and the other thing is that it has a Lucid Hydra chip on it. what that MEANS, is that you can run ATI and nVidia graphics on the same board. working together with each other. that, or you can slap on a nice three way CrossFire system, or dual nVidia graphics with the onboard 5770, or whatever. no PhysX though with mixed manufacturers, Lucid Hydra hasn't been proved to be able to do that yet. nVidia drivers apparently just terminate themselves now if they see a ATI chip anywhere, you're gonna have to take modding to a higher level in order to be able to run ATI and nVidia WITH PhysX.

Lucid Hydra and an onboard 5770. what are your thoughts
