Yes in all our laptops you can change the backlighting on the keyboard via software.

Yes, there is Hotkey software that controls lighting as well as many other things on the DS Clevo-based laptops.  If for some reason it's not installed by default (I can't remember whether it was or not on my Krypton, but I think it was), it should be on the driver CD included with the system.

I've given my Krypton a teal look as you might see in the photos in my Krypton review (link in sig).  Default is a deeper blue, and when you first power on or reboot the system, the lighting will go back to that until the software takes over again and sets your lighting back to your preference.
