    Posted: 02 Aug 2012 at 12:21pm
Ok, so I have decided to add a case fan to my Old Silverstone TJ02 Window. This case has poor negative airflow and i plan on getting a little positive airflow with this upgrade.

I will be using a Cooler Master MegaFlow 200 Silent Fan (Intake)
I have already ordered the fan.

http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6492

And a 200mm x 230mm Silver Fan Grill (Outside of the window)
I have not ordered the Grill yet.

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/5318/ffg-22/200mm_x_230mm_Silver_Fan_Grill_-_Antec_Big_Boy_Cooler_Master.html?tl=g47c221s1053

My Question is what Hardware will i need to reach from the fan through the window and grill?
Am I taking the right approach?
Any suggestions or ideas are welcomed!

Hi rsmilford,

I am not a fan of the TJO2 case due to its limited cooling. I hope you added the rear 120mm fan already. It is a mistake that this rear fan is not included with the case.

The limitation you might have is the distance from the side plate to cards. This is a mid-sized case and is there room to mount the fan? Let us know how it turns out.

The best solution for that chassis is to drill 120mm holes for fan mounts.

Success

I recommend using a Rotozip with a spiral cutting device for perfectly measured holes.

rsmilford, that looks terrific. I can't even see the hole you cut into the plastic for the fan to draw air.
