I am planning on buying a Dreadnought "good" quality. I'm new to all of this stuff, so I'd like a bit of advice. The specs of it are:
Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40 GHz Unlocked CPU (Quad Core) 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 1.2GB (Includes PhysX Technology) (EVGA) Stage 2: Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 Extreme Performance The games that I'm planning to play at the moment are: The Witcher 2 Assassin's Creed series Skyrim TF2 Minecraft Just Cause 2 Emulate some PS2 games (ones that I own already, so owning the ISO won't be illegal) Halo Dead Space 1 and 2 BF3 Will these specs allow me to run these games at a comfortable 30-60 FPS? Or should I upgrade it? (I'm on a pretty strict budget, around 1600-1650 ish) Also, does changing the Internal Lighting replace the red lights that are already inside of the Dreadnought? I'm thinking about making them blue, although I've heard that they can hurt your eyes after a while. Thanks in advance. Edited by cheeseboy - 02 Aug 2012 at 7:17am |

Hi cheeseboy..... Welcome to the forums.
For your budget I would seriously consider the ODE V2 level 1 for about the same money. The gtx 570 in the Dreadnought 1 is a good card but is at end of life and as time goes on you might have a hard time replacing it if things go wrong. The gtx 670 in the ODE 1 will give you much better performance . Here's a link to compare the 570 to the 670. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/518?vs=598 The ODE 1 also has the A50 air cooler for the cpu which is more dependable and also has a larger HDD. If you want the custom config, and the HafX Dreadnought case is the best, then I would at least up the card to the gtx 670 which would just stay in budget. Hope this helps and good luck.
