I just installed 2 new games and played them for a short while.

Mass Effect 2 & Supreme Commander 2.
I ran them both at full resolution 1900 x 1200 and all I can say is WOW. I am seriously impressed. Specially with mass effect. It looked ridiculously good and it flows really smooth. I haven't check the Frames per second but I will next time.

I also ran 3D Mark Vantage and it came out right at 16,000.
Any thoughts about that score?

I watched the 5870's go up in price nearly every day... either the E-tailers are gouging the prices, because of the impending prices of the new Nvidia cards, or?? lol     I want my damn 2 GB 5870  matrix for $380.00 come on Nvidia bring the goods, and keep the price down. What resolution are you playing at?

If you want to play with maxed Graphics at 2560x1600 I'd go with a 5870, at 1920x1200 you should be fine with a 5850.  Note that in extreme cases you may still lag, Wintergrasp will probably pull your FPS below 30 if you get around 200 people around you, Dalaran around peek times could do the same.
