Maybe I am just a noob but I don't ever install * NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support" as it isn't necessary. Just install the most current videocard and motherboard drivers.
If you want to update the BIOS, well you can just go into the BIOS.
Rivatuner is great for overclocking and monitoring your video cards and can be downloaded from Guru3D.com.
NVidia software sucks rocks imho so I install as little of it as possible.
Lastly, yes XFX makes you register to download drivers which is a pain, but on the plus side the site remembers what you have so its easy to find what you need as drivers are updated.
Good luck.

Agree with you bosses, but there are some times in which you would like to attain what this software does, explore it and learn, to know its capabilities.Curious in short. And by that time if I'll be able to gain enough knowledge and understanding of what it does, then i would install as little as possible. have you encountered this issue? but still Curious thou, on why it gives out that error. Rock and ROll !

I have never installed it, which is why I said "maybe I am just a noob." To indicate I don't have experience using it.
On the evga support forums for the 790i boards which I followed regularly while tweaking my system performance, the general consensus was to be to avoid the NVidia control panel since it seemed to cause stability issues for at least some users.
Since the comp is freezing in the screens added by the software, it seems logical to me that it may be worth trying to run without it since there are other free tools that work just as well.

Thanks TomD appreciate it. Maybe after a couple of days, if this issue would not be resolve, and would not or would attain a concrete solution/answer. then I'm done with it, I'll uninstall the ESA Support and everything that is related to this software, and just sit back, relax and play, enjoying my awesome New System from DS. Woooot~ Digital Shots.

nothing wrong with using apps to learn, if that is what you are doing then more power to you
once you learned, try speedfan, you have to adjust its temps to be in sync with hwmonitor's temps, but after that you can control your fans with speedfan

Yeah, learning from it, so that at least when someone comes with the same/a bit similar issues, at least we/i/you can give him/her some solutions or answers. Once again your the best boss man. you have already answered my upcoming question again. btw, cool site you've got there.

thank you and you are very welcome
once you learn how fans work and stuff on the nvidia software, you will see its the same concept pretty much with other apps too, just small differences, so when you learn on one app, you are learning how to do it on other apps

Yeah, but right now im figuring out whats this fan controls, this or this and this. Winter is coming so i have to set the fans a bit lower. and the best thing about my DS is that instead of it producing heat. Its now acting as if it's an AC at fan mode. Hey just noticed your Avatar there, that's a 4 string Bass. Nice. Bass player? slap and Pop. lmao

I play a little bass, but mostly guitar. My avatar is just one of the defaults on the site - I am too lazy to make my own.

Update: Just Opened the "ESE" Device Settings in NVIDIA Control Panel. Under Performance Category. Guess what?? I got it open !! but somewhere around 5 - 10 seconds later, the system just frozed, thought it was loading, but then the system suddenly just restarts. and back to windows again. Mybe i'll give it a week or 2, and after that maybe It would feel like letting me access the DEVICE SETTINGS. it's the PC's decision, soon. I'm starting to feel like the PC is mocking me. Suggestions, Recommendations is highly appreciated.

xfx is overclocked higher and comes with a life time warranty. pny comes with a 3 year warranty.
I like evga myself
I'm no expert in sli but I think both cards need to be the same.

thats cool, I don't think the customers want to spend their money on an app that does not report correct info, when they can get an app that does report the correct info for free, which is why I recommended CPU-z.

lol harleyman, you should hand me out a crack for that. BTW just an update: So far i have been successful in Running the ESE without any issues. especially the task under Performance>Device Settings. Here's my System setup/driver versions in which the system was unstable upon using *NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support
_________________________________________________________________ Updates
*BIOS: PO6 to P08 *NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support: Version 6.01 to Version 6.03 *Nforce Driver: Version 9.64 to Version 15.23
Notes: Bios V:PO6 Bios V:PO8 (can only be obtained by registering)?? ESE V:6.01 Nforce V:9.64 & comes from the stock CD.SETTINGS/UPDATES in which I got the errors from accessing the NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support In this settings/updates i have encountered the following: 1.) Blue Screens - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
- *** STOP:0x00000024
- *** STOP:0x0000008E
- etc..
2.) Upon accessing the task Under Performance>Device Settings. When i access this task my system suddenly hangs up and then after a few seconds the system restarts itself.__________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________
NOW here is my system setup in which i have been able to run every Nvidia Control Panel task, especially the NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support in which i updated or re-updated the NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support from Version 6.03 to Version 6.02. Updates
*BIOS: P08 *NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support: Version 6.03 to Version 6.02 *Nforce Driver: Version 15.23

My systems drivers are up to date when I got the system stability/errors from using ESE, but i guess it has something to do with the Version 6.03. as what i know, if it is new then it has some issues/bug as what harleyman said

I'll dig up some information on Version:6.03 on why exactly it gives out system errors/system instability.

ya I see, my mistake, so version 6.03 is giving you trouble. conflict with something else you have then.
have you tried to rule out software conflict?

As far as i know, None. I guess it's just because the VERSION:6.03 is new. and for now i'll stick to this. Until I can dig up some concrete evidence. As what I say this is Sweet, worth the time spending. its like BIOS in 3D You can increase or decrease CPU FSB, CPU/Motherboard/GPU/Memory Voltages, CPU Cooling, Clock Speeds, Memory Timings, GPU Core/Memory/Shader/ Clock, GPU Cooling etc... and you can save it as profile and change what ever profile you like.

there are other apps that do you that but everybody has their own preferences nothing wrong with that
how do you arrive at the point that its not software conflict?
