Simple question that I can't seem to find an answer for via google. I want to know if I have a dual card SLI do I need a monitor that has 2 DVI-D connections? Thanks

Nope. One monitor cable to a single port on the monitor is all that's needed. In sli, the cards have a bridge connector that connects them together to act as one.
