15.6" x15E Level 4

Will the15.6" x15E Level 4 last three to five years as a gaming-only computer? Could I see this being outdated by then? I'm mainly talking about the video card. I would assume everything else would still be strong. I do not want the best out there due to a $2000-2500 limit, but I want a machine that will play games on ultra, or at least very high for at least three years. I do not really care for overclocking, nor am I a completive player. I want to be able to play any game for the timespan mentioned above, without having to play below very high. Thanks! I will, without a doubt, buy from DS in the future!

Short Answer: Yes.

Long Answer: Nothing is truly future-proof, but the x15E incorporates the latest graphics, and a great processor. In total, although future products will no doubt outpace your current product, it is probably one of the best future-proofing jobs that you could do today.

That said, however, I would advise that you switch the 680M for the 7970M. There is no difference in performance, but you could save $300.

So, to truly be safe for three to five years, I should go the desktop route. I can update parts as they come out... ? What about the Marauder Level 4?

I believe I'm going to be going with the ODE Level 4 in the future.
